Ploqo Labels Privacy Policy

What the Ploqo Labels Shopify app reads, what it writes to your store, what it keeps, and when it is deleted. Last updated 23 October 2026.

1. Introduction

Ploqo Labels ("we", "our", or "us"), listed in the Shopify App Store as Ploqo Labels: Barcodes & Tags, is a Shopify app made by the team behind PinFlow. It prints price tags and barcode labels for your products, sized to your own label roll or sheet, and can give a variant with no barcode a unique one. This policy explains what information the app accesses and stores when a merchant installs it, and how that information is used.

2. Information We Access

Ploqo Labels reads your products, variants and stock.

  • Products and variants (the read_products permission): titles, vendor, product type, variant options, SKU, barcode, price, compare-at price and the stock count, to put them on labels. Also the products in a collection you choose, and your store's currency format, to write prices.
  • Store information: your shop's myshopify domain and whether the app is installed. Also the access tokens Shopify issues to the app, and the details Shopify attaches to the session of the staff member who opens the app (such as their name, email address and whether they own the store).

The app does not read customers, orders, discounts or payment details. Shopify's privacy requests for a customer carry that customer's email address and phone number; the app logs only the customer id from them and stores nothing.

3. How Labels Are Made

Labels are built in your browser. The app's pages read your products from Shopify in your browser, and the labels you print and the PDF you download are made there too, not on our servers. When you open the Print page, its address carries the ids of the products you picked, and nothing else about them.

4. What the App Writes to Your Store

  • Variant barcodes (the write_products permission): It writes a barcode to a variant only when you ask it to. That is when you generate barcodes for variants that have none, replace the ones on rows you tick and confirm, or clear or put back the barcodes of the last run. It changes no other field of your products or variants.
  • Templates and counter: Your label templates and the barcode counter are kept inside your Shopify store. They are stored as app data on your shop, with a record of the last barcode run so that it can be undone.

5. What We Keep on Our Servers

  • Your shop domain, whether the app is installed, and when it was installed and uninstalled.
  • The Shopify sessions described above. They are encrypted before they are stored.
  • Messages you send us through the app's chat with the developer, and our replies.
  • Server logs and error alerts, used to find and fix errors. They can contain your shop domain.

6. Email, Analytics and Sharing

The app sends no email to you or your customers.

Our team receives alerts and your chat messages through a messaging service. An alert is sent when the app hits an error, and carries the error text described above. One is also sent when a shop installs or uninstalls the app, and carries the shop domain and the time.

An analytics service records how the app's own pages in your Shopify admin are used: which pages staff open and what they click, and recordings of those pages. The recordings mask all text and inputs, so product names, prices and barcodes are not recorded. The sign-in values Shopify adds to the app's address are removed first. These pages show no customer's personal details.

The app runs on a server we manage, reached through Cloudflare, which carries the app's traffic. We use service providers to host and operate the app. They process data only on our behalf. We do not sell your data.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

  • When you uninstall the app, we delete its Shopify sessions at once.
  • Shopify asks us to delete a shop's data 48 hours after uninstall. We then delete every row we hold for your shop, including the chat messages. If you install the app again within those 48 hours, we keep your rows, because you are using the app again.
  • After you uninstall, Shopify keeps the app's templates and counter for a while, then deletes them. The same goes for the record of the last barcode run. Once the app is uninstalled, it can no longer reach your store.
  • The barcodes stay on your variants. They are part of your products, like the rest of your store's data.
  • The app holds no customer data, so a customer's data request or deletion request finds nothing to return or delete.
