Removing Ploqo Wishlist: What Stays and What Goes
Uninstalling changes no theme file. The hearts and the button go with the app, your customers' lists stay in Shopify, and our copy of the counts is deleted 48 hours later.

Your theme stays as it was
Ploqo Wishlist never edits your theme's code. The hearts, the floating button and the product page button come from an app embed and an app block: pieces an app adds to your theme through the theme editor, which Shopify shows and hides for the app. So there is no leftover code to clean up after you uninstall, and no file in your theme differs from before you installed it.
To uninstall, open Settings at the bottom left of your Shopify admin, then Apps. Click the three dots next to Ploqo Wishlist and choose Uninstall. Shopify asks you to pick a reason before the Uninstall button works.
What goes when you uninstall
- The hearts, the floating button and the Wishlist button stop showing on your store straight away.
- The wishlist page at
/apps/wishliststops working. If you added it to your menu in setup, delete that menu item in Content > Menus, or shoppers who click it get an error page. - The Wishlist card on customer pages and the app's Most wishlisted page go with the app.
- Our copy of the counts. The app keeps one row per saved product and customer to count Most wishlisted. Shopify tells the app to delete a store's data 48 hours after it is uninstalled, and the app then deletes those rows.
The app sends no email and has no billing, so there is nothing to cancel.
What stays
- Your customers' lists. A logged-in customer's list is stored on their customer record in your Shopify store, not on our servers, and Shopify keeps it after the app is gone.
- Guests' lists, in each guest's own browser. Nothing reads them once the app is gone, and they stay there until the shopper clears their browser's data.
- The embed and the button's place in your theme, with their settings. They don't show while the app is uninstalled, and they come back as they were if you reinstall: your icon, colours and words included.
Reinstalling later
Install Ploqo Wishlist again from the Shopify App Store and open it. The Setup page reads your live theme, so the hearts and the button show as On and Added straight away if you left them in place. If you deleted the menu link, add it again (step 3 of setup).
Every logged-in customer's list is back as it was. If you reinstall within 48 hours, the counts on Most wishlisted are still there too. After that, our copy of the counts has been deleted and they start again from zero as customers save.
Before you go
If something didn't work for your store, the developer would like to hear about it: open the app and use the Chat button at the bottom right of any page. A theme where the hearts don't show can usually be fixed with one setting; see "Hearts on another theme" in Customize the icon, floating button and wording.
