Making candles is the fun part. Labelling them is where most small makers get stuck, because a candle label is two jobs pretending to be one. The front is marketing: your brand, your scent name, the reason someone picks your jar off the shelf. The base is compliance: the cautionary statements and pictograms that tell a buyer how not to set fire to their house. Most tools help with exactly one of those and leave you to solve the other.

What actually has to appear on a candle label
There are two separate rule sets in play for a candle sold in the United States, they carry different force, and they are easy to mix up.
The first is the cautionary label, and it is a voluntary consensus standard rather than federal law. ASTM F-2058, the Standard Specification for Candle Fire Safety Labeling, was first issued in 2000; the edition the CPSC currently lists is F2058-07(2021). The Consumer Product Safety Commission lists it for candles under the heading "Voluntary Standard(s)", and under rulemaking it records only "Petition CP 04-1 and HP 04-01, denied September 2014" - that is, the petition to make candle fire-safety labelling mandatory was turned down.
Voluntary is not the same as optional. Retailers, marketplaces, insurers and wholesale buyers routinely require a candle to carry the F-2058 cautionary label, and a candle without one is the kind of product a liability claim is built on. So treat it as something you should do rather than something the FTC will fine you for skipping.
The National Candle Association, which has worked with ASTM International on the candle standards since 1997, publishes the three cautionary statements:
- Burn the candle within sight.
- Keep the candle away from things that can catch fire.
- Keep the candle out of the reach of children.
It also publishes three matching graphic icons for those statements, and describes them as becoming standard worldwide. This tool draws all three of them as real vector artwork on every warning label it produces, at every size, in every template. They are never a bitmap and never a font character, so they stay sharp whether you print at 1 inch or 2 inches.
The second rule set is federal law: the FTC's consumer-commodity labelling rules under the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act, at 16 CFR part 500. A retail candle is a consumer commodity, so the front of the jar needs three things:
- A statement of identity. 16 CFR 500.4 says the principal display panel must bear a specification of the identity of the commodity, that it must be a principal feature of that panel, in lines generally parallel to the base the container rests on, and that it must not be false, misleading or deceptive. In plain terms: say that it is a candle. "Soy wax candle" is enough.
- A net-quantity declaration. 16 CFR 500.6(a) requires it on the principal display panel, and 16 CFR 500.8(a) requires it in both avoirdupois pounds or ounces and SI metric units. The regulation's own examples are "Net Wt 15 oz (425 g)" and "Net Mass 425 g (15 oz)".
- A name and place of business. 16 CFR 500.5 says the label must conspicuously specify the name and place of business of the manufacturer, packer or distributor. If you did not manufacture the candle yourself, 16 CFR 500.5(a) says the name must be qualified by a phrase revealing the connection, such as "Manufactured for" or "Distributed by". 16 CFR 500.5(b) asks for the actual business name, and 500.5(c) asks for the street address, city, state and zip, while letting you drop the street address when it is listed somewhere publicly available such as your website.
The tool has an input for each of those, and the checklist beside the preview grades them in three states rather than two. Green means the element is filled in and the label you are looking at prints it. Amber means it is filled in but this artifact does not carry it, which is what you get on the base cautionary label or on a template that draws no front panel, and the row tells you where to print it instead. Red means it is genuinely missing, and the row names the specific thing rather than just going red.
Candle warning label requirements, in two lists
People search for "candle warning label requirements" as though it were one list. It is two, and keeping them apart is the whole point of this section.
From 16 CFR part 500, which is federal law:
- A statement of identity on the front (16 CFR 500.4).
- A dual-unit net-quantity declaration on the front (500.6(a), 500.8(a)).
- That declaration inside the bottom 30 percent of the panel, unless the panel is 5 square inches or less (500.6(b) and 500.6(b)(1)).
- That declaration at or above the minimum letter height for your panel area (500.21(b), measured per 500.21(d)).
- Your name and place of business (500.5).
From ASTM F-2058, which is voluntary but commonly required by the people who sell your candle:
- The three cautionary statements, on the label.
- The three matching pictograms alongside them.
Numbers 1 to 5 belong on the front label. Numbers 6 and 7 usually go on the base, which is why this tool makes both artifacts from one set of inputs. The checklist beside the preview keeps the same split, and it labels the ASTM group voluntary.
This is also not the whole of every rule that could touch a candle. State labelling rules, EU and UK CLP hazard labelling, and whatever your marketplace demands are all outside it.
Candle warning label text you can copy
Here is the candle warning label text this tool prints by default. It is our own concise phrasing of the three statements the association publishes, and every line is editable in the tool:

Plenty of makers write the same three ideas differently ("Burn within sight", "Keep away from drafts and things that catch fire", "Keep away from children and pets"). What matters is that all three ideas are present and legible, with their pictograms. Change the wording to suit your market and the tool re-lays the block around it.
ASTM F-2058 versus the other candle standards
This is worth getting right, because it is the mistake you see most often in candle-making guides. The CPSC lists six candle-related voluntary standards, and only one of them is about labelling. These are the four you will meet most often, with the year each was first issued and the edition designation the CPSC lists:
- ASTM F-2058 (first issued 2000; F2058-07(2021)) is the cautionary labelling standard. It is the one that produces the warning label.
- ASTM F-2179 (first issued 2002; F2179-20) covers annealed soda-lime-silicate glass candle containers: scratch and temper specifications. It is about whether your jar survives the heat, not about what you print on it.
- ASTM F-2417 (first issued 2004; F2417-17) covers fire safety for candles: maximum flame height, tip-over limits, secondary ignition and end-of-useful-life specifications. It is a design and performance standard, not a labelling standard.
- ASTM F-2601 (first issued 2007; F2601-18) covers candle accessories such as rings, burners and holders.
The two the CPSC lists that are not in that group are F2326 (visible emissions from burning candles) and F1972 (terminology), so do not read the four above as the complete set. Note also that the year and the designation are different things: 2000 is when F-2058 first appeared, while F2058-07(2021) is the 2007 edition reapproved in 2021.
If a guide tells you F-2417 is the warning-label standard, it has the wrong number. F-2058 is the labelling one.
One honest limitation: the full text of ASTM F-2058 is sold by ASTM and was not read for this build. That matters, because the standard contains its own typography and size specifications that we cannot see. So this tool renders the statements and the pictograms the association publishes, at a legibility floor we chose ourselves, and it does not claim to reproduce the standard's own type specification. There is no "ASTM compliant" badge here for exactly that reason. The label you print is your responsibility to verify for the market you sell into.
Because that floor is ours rather than the standard's, here is exactly what it is and exactly how it behaves. The statements are never set below 0.045 inch of type (about 3.2 pt) and the pictograms are never drawn below 0.16 inch across. Those are printed sizes in real inches on the finished label, not CSS numbers: the preview scales, and the tool measures the scale it applies and folds it into the floor, so what the label says it prints at is what it prints at.
When the block will not fit at those sizes, the tool gives things up in a fixed order rather than shrinking the type: first the recommended burn practice, then the WARNING heading (a convention, not one of the three statements). The three statements and the three pictograms are never dropped and never shrunk past the floor. On a front label the same rule applies to the optional cautionary strip some templates add: it is dropped, with a note telling you so, rather than squeezed in on top of the regulated lines. If even they will not fit, the tool says so in red under the cautionary text and asks you to go up a size or shorten the wording. It never quietly prints type nobody can read.
How to size a wrap label to your jar (the pi x d worked example)
A wrap-around label is where every static template falls over, because the width is not a size you choose. It is a size your jar decides. A wrap has to travel the whole circumference and then overlap itself so the seam glues down:
wrap width = pi x diameter + overlap
Take a common 3.0 inch diameter jar and a 1/8 inch glue overlap:
3.14159265 x 3.0 = 9.42478
9.42478 + 0.125 = 9.54978
Rounded to the precision a label is actually cut at, that is 9.55 inches. Not 9.5, and not 9.6. The tool computes it, shows you the working, and exports a PDF page exactly 9.55 inches wide, which is 687.6 points. Print at 100 percent scale and it wraps.
The height works the same way, from the other direction:
usable height = jar height - top clearance - bottom clearance
A 3.5 inch jar with 3/8 inch of blank glass above and below the label gives you 2.75 inches of usable label height. Both clearances are editable, because how much glass you want to leave showing is a design decision. If you set clearances that add up to more than the jar height, the tool tells you so inline instead of producing a label with a negative height.
If you already know your label size, you can skip all of that and type the width and height straight in. The calculator is there when you need it, not in your way.
Where the net weight goes, and how small it can be
Two more rules from 16 CFR part 500 shape the layout, and both of them depend on the size of your jar rather than the size of your label.
Placement. 16 CFR 500.6(b) puts the net-quantity declaration within the bottom 30 percent of the label panel, in lines generally parallel to the base the container rests on, and separated from the printing above and below it by at least the height of its own lettering. But 16 CFR 500.6(b)(1) waives that placement rule when the principal display panel is 5 square inches or less. Which tins that covers is a measurement, not a rule of thumb: with a 2.5 inch diameter the panel area is 3.14 square inches per inch of height, so such a tin clears the line only while it is under about 1.59 inches tall, and plenty of ordinary 4 oz and 6 oz tins land above 5 square inches. Measure your tin and the tool will tell you which side of the line you are on.
Type size. 16 CFR 500.21(b) sets a minimum printed height that steps with the same panel area:

"Area of the principal display panel" has its own definition for a round jar. 16 CFR 500.21(a)(2) says that for a cylindrical or nearly cylindrical container it is 40 percent of the height times the circumference. So a 3.0 inch by 3.5 inch jar works out at 0.4 x 3.5 x 9.42 = 13.19 square inches. That is more than 5, so the bottom-30 percent rule applies and the minimum type height is 1/8 inch.
That arithmetic is done on the exact number, not on a rounded one, because the band edges bite. A 2 inch by 1.99 inch tin - an ordinary 4 oz tin - computes to 0.4 x 1.99 x pi x 2 = 5.0014 square inches, which the tool displays as 5.001. Round that to 5 first and you land in the 1/16 inch band and think 500.6(b)(1) has waived the placement rule for you. It has not. The tool picks the band from the full-precision area and only rounds the number it shows you, adding a decimal place when rounding would otherwise put the displayed figure on the wrong side of a boundary.
The minimum is a letter height, not a font size
This is the part that catches software rather than people. 16 CFR 500.21(d) is explicit about what the number in that table measures:
Letter heights pertain to upper case or capital letters. When upper and lower case or all lower case letters are used, it is the lower case letter "o" or its equivalent that shall meet the minimum standards.
A font size is not a letter height. Set "Net Wt 8 oz (227 g)" at a font size of 1/8 inch in Playfair Display and the capital N measures about 0.089 inch and the lower-case o about 0.068 inch - 0.710 and 0.545 of the em in the static bold file Google serves - both well under the 1/8 inch the table asks for. Because the declaration mixes case, it is the "o" that has to clear the bar.
So the tool measures rather than assumes. It reads the ink box of the exact face your browser has loaded and works backwards to the font size that prints the governing letter at or above the floor. Those numbers move with the face: this build ships Playfair Display as a variable font, whose bold instance draws a slightly rounder o at about 0.5625 of the em, so on the 13.19 square inch panel the sum is 0.125 / 0.5625 = 0.222 inch, about 16 pt. On the static file's 0.545 the same sum gives 0.229 inch, about 16.5 pt. That is not a design choice, it is the rule doing its job. The checklist row tells you which letter it measured, what ratio it came out at and what size that produced, and it goes red rather than green if your label is too small to carry that size, so you can move the declaration to a base label instead.
16 CFR 500.20 also asks for conspicuous, easily legible boldface type in distinct contrast, so the declaration is always set bold, and 500.6(b)'s clear space above it is set to the height of its own lettering.
The name and place of business is held to the same discipline for the same reason. 16 CFR 500.5(a) says it has to appear conspicuously, so it is pinned alongside the declaration at a size the tool controls exactly, rather than being scaled along with the artwork. Its floor is measured the same way the regulated declaration is: 0.045 inch of printed lower-case "o", converted through the real glyph height of your font, not 0.045 inch of font size. The checklist row prints both numbers so you can see which is which. On a label where the declaration and the identity together would take more than two thirds of the panel, the checklist says so and names the fix instead of printing the identity at a size nobody can read.
The net-weight declaration is computed, not typed
This is the small thing that quietly ruins a lot of otherwise lovely labels. A dual-unit declaration is a conversion, and conversions typed by hand go wrong. In a survey of one large template gallery for this build, one thumbnail paired "4 oz" with "140 g" and another paired "8 oz" with "300 g". The correct answers are 113 g and 227 g. Those were placeholder designs rather than real product labels, but they are exactly the error hand-typing invites.
So this tool computes the declaration. One avoirdupois ounce is exactly 28.349523125 grams:
- 8 oz x 28.349523125 = 226.796, which prints as Net Wt 8 oz (227 g)
- 4.5 oz x 28.349523125 = 127.573, which prints as Net Wt 4.5 oz (128 g)
Each printed figure is rounded exactly once, from the exact mass, and the rounded string is what flows into the preview, the PDF, the PNG and the SVG. They can never disagree with each other. That matters most at the kilogram step: rounding to whole grams and then rounding those grams to a kilogram is two roundings, and it made a 35.45 oz candle print "2 lb 3.45 oz (1 kg)" when the true mass is 1004.99 g. It now prints "2 lb 3.45 oz (1.00 kg)", derived straight from the unrounded mass.
A few more details follow the regulation rather than habit. 16 CFR 500.9(b)(1) says a quantity below one pound is declared in ounces; 500.9(b)(2) covers one pound up to four pounds and 500.9(b)(3) covers four pounds and over, both in whole pounds with any remainder in ounces, so a 24 oz three-wick prints as "Net Wt 1 lb 8 oz (680 g)" and an 84 oz pillar prints as "Net Wt 5 lb 4 oz (2.38 kg)". Both of those are the regulation's own worked examples. 16 CFR 500.19(b) asks for the metric figure in three digits, or two below 100 grams, which is why grams are printed whole and kilograms to two decimals. 16 CFR 500.23(a) keeps the metric value between 1 and 1000, so a very large candle steps up to kilograms. And 16 CFR 500.22 lists the only abbreviations allowed in the declaration, which is why you see "oz" and "lb" and nothing more creative.
One judgement call worth flagging. The illustrative conversions 16 CFR 500.19(b) and 500.8(a) print all truncate: "1 lb (453 g)", "2 oz (56 g)", "2.5 oz (70.8 g)". This tool rounds half-up instead, so 16 oz prints as 454 g. The regulation states a digit-count rule rather than a rounding direction, so neither convention is mandated; rounding half-up is a deliberate choice, because it never understates what is in the jar.
If you sell by weight in grams, flip the unit toggle. The tool prints "Net Mass 425 g (15 oz)" instead, which is 16 CFR 500.8(a)'s own metric-first example.
Six label types and fourteen templates
Most searches for a candle label template end at a static image you have to retype your own details into. Here a candle label template is a live layout: it knows the shape it is being drawn on, it re-flows when your scent name is long, and it carries the regulated lines with it. The label type decides the shape and the geometry. The template decides how it looks. They are independent, so every one of the fourteen templates works on every one of the six types.
The types are a round front label, a rectangle or square front with an adjustable corner radius, an oval apothecary front, a wrap-around sized from your jar, a tin lid label that keeps a wider centre-safe zone because a lid has a rolled seam, and the base warning label in 1 inch, 1.25 inch, 1.5 inch and 2 inch rounds.
The templates run from Minimal Apothecary (a centred serif stack between hairlines) and Modern Sans (a left-aligned block with the full spec stack) through Kraft Botanical, Luxe Black and Gold, Monogram Seal, Vintage Label Frame, Terracotta Arch, Botanical Watercolour, Bold Type Stack, Soy Clean and a Seasonal band, to Wrap Two-Panel (a front panel plus a real cautionary back panel), Warning Only (the cautionary label on its own), and Blank Outline (the die line and the safe area, nothing else).
Switching label type never costs you anything you typed. Every field is kept, even the ones the new type does not display, and each type remembers its own size choice. Fill everything in once, then audition all fourteen looks, and the one you settle on becomes your candle label template for the whole range.
The base warning label and which jars each size fits
The market's current answer to "I need a candle warning label" is to buy a roll of pre-printed stickers. CandleScience sells one at 1.25 inches (3.2 cm) by the hundred, cheaply, and it works well. What it cannot do is carry your brand, your scent or your own burn instructions. Check the current price with the supplier rather than trusting a number in an article.
That is the form factor the base warning label type reproduces, generated instead of bought. CandleScience publishes which containers the 1.25 inch size suits: jelly jars, a 3 oz standard votive holder, and 2 oz, 4 oz and 6 oz candle tins. That guidance is shown in the tool against the 1.25 inch preset. The other sizes are offered without a fit list, because we do not have a source for them and would rather leave the hint blank than guess.
On a small round sticker the three statements and their three pictograms take up most of the room, so the tool sizes those first and only adds the recommended burn practice when it genuinely fits at a legible size. When it does not fit it tells you so, and it never shrinks or drops a required statement to make room for optional text. If you want the burn practice on the label too, go up a size or use the wrap-around type, which has a whole back panel for it.
Concretely, with the default wording: at 2 inches everything fits, including the burn practice. At 1.5 inches and 1.25 inches you get the heading, the three statements and the three pictograms, and the burn practice is left off. At 1 inch the heading goes too, leaving the three statements and three pictograms at the legibility floor. Shorten the statements and more fits; lengthen them and less does. The tool tells you which case you are in as you type, so nothing about it is a surprise when the PDF opens.
If you want to buy candle stickers rather than print them, that is a perfectly good answer and the pre-printed rolls are cheap. Generate the label here when you want your own wording, your own brand or your own burn times on it, and buy a roll when the generic text is fine.
Burn instructions are convention, not standard
The burn instructions are the part people most often assume are mandated. They are not: no federal rule requires them, and they are not among the three cautionary statements ASTM F-2058 is about either. They are good practice, and they vary by supplier. The defaults here are the numbers CandleScience publishes on its warning-label roll, written in our own words:
- Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before every lighting.
- Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time.
- Stop using the candle when 1/4 inch of wax is left.
- Burn on a level, fire-resistant surface.
- Keep the wax pool clear of matches and wick trimmings.
Some suppliers publish 1/2 inch rather than 1/4 inch for the remaining-wax rule, so check the guidance you actually rely on. Every line is editable, which is the point.

Printing and cutting tips
- Print at 100 percent scale. Turn off "fit to page" or "shrink to fit". Every PDF this tool produces is already the exact physical size of the label.
- Buy stock made for labels for candles, not for envelopes. Fragrance oil creeps, and plain paper wicks it and stains. Waterproof vinyl or a polyester stock survives a wax pool and a warm jar; matte paper does not.
- Print candle stickers on a full sheet and cut them yourself if you do not have a die. The Blank Outline template gives you the die line and the safe area on their own, so you can dry-run a cut before you commit a sheet of vinyl.
- Send the SVG, not the PNG, to a cutter. The SVG this tool writes is real vector geometry with the cut outline as a path, so a Cricut or Silhouette can follow it. Its width and height are written in real inches, not in bare pixels, so it imports at true size rather than at whatever an editor assumes. Convert the text to outlines in your editor first.
- Turn on the cut line and safe-area guides while you are testing, then turn them off for the final print. The guides print if they are on.
- Test the wrap on a scrap first. Wrap it round the jar dry to check the overlap lands where you expect before you commit a whole sheet.
- Keep the warning label on the base. It is the surface nobody wants to give up to compliance, which is exactly why the base is the right place for it.
What this tool does not do
Being clear about the edges is more useful than pretending to cover everything:
- It does not generate EU or UK CLP hazard labelling or fragrance-allergen declarations. That is a much larger regulatory surface and it is not here.
- It does not cover soap, cosmetic INCI ingredient labelling, wax melts or reed diffusers.
- It does not render a barcode or a QR code inside the label. A batch or lot code here is text. Use the barcode generator or the QR generator for a scannable symbol.
- It does not reproduce ASTM F-2058's own type-size specification, because that text is paywalled and was not read.
- It gives you no compliance guarantee and no legal advice. It renders the elements, computes the numbers, and shows you which ones are missing. Verifying the finished label for your market is your job.

What size should a candle label be?
For a front label, pick a diameter or a rectangle that leaves clear margins on your jar. For a wrap-around label the size is not a guess: the width is pi times the jar diameter plus a glue overlap, and the height is the jar height minus the clearance you want above and below. A 3.0 inch jar with a 1/8 inch overlap needs a 9.55 inch wide wrap. For the base warning label, CandleScience publishes 1.25 inch as fitting jelly jars, a 3 oz standard votive holder, and 2 oz, 4 oz and 6 oz candle tins.
Do I need the net weight on a candle label?
In the United States a candle is a consumer commodity under the FTC rules at 16 CFR part 500, and 16 CFR 500.6(a) says the label must bear a declaration of the net quantity of contents on the principal display panel. 16 CFR 500.8(a) says that declaration has to be in both avoirdupois pounds or ounces and SI metric units. This tool computes the second unit for you at exactly 1 oz = 28.349523125 g, so 8 oz prints as 8 oz (227 g) and 4.5 oz prints as 4.5 oz (128 g).
Where does the net weight have to sit on the label?
16 CFR 500.6(b) puts the net-quantity declaration in the bottom 30 percent of the label panel, in lines generally parallel to the base the container rests on. 16 CFR 500.6(b)(1) waives that placement rule when the principal display panel is 5 square inches or less, which covers a lot of small tins. The tool works your panel area out from your jar measurements (40 percent of height times circumference, per 16 CFR 500.21(a)(2)), tells you which case you are in, and pins the declaration into the bottom band when the rule applies.
How small can the net weight type be?
16 CFR 500.21(b) sets a minimum printed height that steps with the area of the principal display panel: 1/16 inch (1.5 mm) at 5 square inches or less, 1/8 inch (3.1 mm) above 5 up to 25 square inches, 3/16 inch (4.7 mm) above 25 up to 100 square inches, 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) above 100 square inches, and 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) above 400 square inches. Those are LETTER heights, not font sizes: 16 CFR 500.21(d) says the number applies to capital letters, and to the lower-case letter "o" when the text mixes case, which a declaration like "Net Wt 8 oz (227 g)" does. A 1/8 inch font size in Playfair Display prints an "o" of about 0.07 inch, barely half of what the rule asks. So the tool measures the real glyph height of the font you chose and sets the declaration at whatever font size prints that letter at or above the floor, then tells you which letter it measured and what size that came to.
What candle warning label text should I use?
The candle warning label text this tool prints by default is: never leave a burning candle unattended; keep the flame away from anything that can catch fire; keep out of reach of children and pets. That is our own concise phrasing of the three cautionary statements the National Candle Association publishes for ASTM F-2058, and every line is editable so you can match the wording your market expects. All three statements print with their three matching pictograms on every warning label the tool makes, and the recommended burn practice below them is convention rather than regulation.
Does my business name have to be on the candle label?
Yes. 16 CFR 500.5 says the label of a consumer commodity must conspicuously specify the name and place of business of the manufacturer, packer or distributor. If you did not make the candle yourself, the name has to be qualified by a phrase that reveals the connection, such as Manufactured for or Distributed by. The place of business means street address, city, state and zip, and 16 CFR 500.5(c) lets you drop the street address when it is listed somewhere publicly available such as your website.
Can I make a candle label template with a wrap-around size?
Yes, and that is where the calculator earns its keep. Enter your jar diameter and height, adjust the glue overlap and the top and bottom clearance, and the tool sizes the wrap for you and exports a PDF page at exactly those dimensions. Are the burn instructions a legal requirement?
No, and neither, strictly, is the cautionary label. The three cautionary statements are what ASTM F-2058 is about, and F-2058 is a voluntary standard that the CPSC has expressly declined to turn into a rule, though retailers and marketplaces commonly require it. The genuinely mandatory US elements are the 16 CFR part 500 ones: identity, net quantity and your name and place of business. Burn instructions such as trimming the wick to 1/4 inch, burning for no more than four hours at a time and stopping when 1/4 inch of wax is left are neither: they are industry convention and good practice. The default numbers here are the ones CandleScience publishes on its warning-label roll, and every line is editable. Some suppliers publish 1/2 inch rather than 1/4 inch for the remaining-wax rule, so check the guidance you rely on.
Can I print custom candle labels for a whole range of scents?
Yes. Switch to Bulk scents, paste one scent per line or import a CSV (a sample file is provided), set a copies count per scent, and the tool tiles every label onto a Letter or A4 sheet with cut guides. The shared brand, wax, maker identity and cautionary text apply to the whole run, and each row recomputes its own net-weight declaration, so a mixed 8 oz and 4.5 oz batch prints 8 oz (227 g) and 4.5 oz (128 g) correctly on the same sheet.
Does this cover EU or UK candle labelling?
No, and it does not pretend to. The tool covers the ASTM F-2058 cautionary statements and pictograms, which are voluntary, and the US FTC consumer-commodity elements at 16 CFR part 500, which are not. EU and UK CLP hazard labelling and fragrance-allergen declarations are a separate and much larger requirement that this tool does not generate. Whatever market you sell into, you are responsible for verifying that your label meets its rules.
Will the PNG have a transparent background?
Yes. The PNG export keeps genuine transparent alpha outside the cut shape, so a round or oval label drops onto your own artwork or mockup without a white box around it. The PDF is a true-size page for printing, and the SVG is a vector version of the same label.
